Some people want to be outside from dawn until dusk in the summer. Others of us are looking to spend as long as possible in the AC. If you’re in the latter camp, mark your calendars for these double-feature movie premiere dates.
Summer 2025 will be filled with content both for little kids and adults. From new blockbusters such as F1 to sequels and reboots such as M3GAN 2.0 and Smurfs, this summer’s must-see movie list features some of your favorite stars, including Brad Pitt, Pedro Pascal, Rihanna (who gives us new music!), Adam Sandler and more.

June 27: ‘F1’ and ‘M3GAN 2.0’

Get your heart rate up with everyone’s favorite dancing robot doll. It’s “bigger, scarier, more action-packed,” says star Allison Williams of the sequel. Keep the adrenaline pumping by watching Brad Pitt himself hit 180 mph in his new flick about a retired Formula 1 racer who gets back in the driver’s seat.
July 18: ‘Smurfs’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’

Bring the whole family to the animated reboot starring Rihanna, who voices Smurfette and wrote the bop “Friend of Mine” for the film. Then send the littles home and catch the sequel of IKWYDLS with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. who reunite alongside a new generation, including Chase Sui Wonders and Madelyn Cline.
July 25: ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ and ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’

The grumpy golfer is back with Bad Bunny costarring as his caddie. Bonus: Travis Kelce and other pro athletes make cameos. Marvel also assembled a super-cool lineup of stars for its third iteration of the superhero franchise with Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.
