One Netflix subscriber wants her younger sister to chill out — and help out.

A 20-year-old woman, who recently changed her Netflix password in order to take away her sister’s access to her account in their shared home, turned to Reddit’s “Am I the A——?” forum to detail their sibling squabble.

The woman, who is in college and works part-time to pay for her education and bills, revealed that she purchased an “individual Netflix” plan — the standard plan that allows you to connect two devices to stream.

“I connected it through our TV and my phone so I could watch,” she explained. “My sister found out about it and said she wants to watch as well, so I let her because I understand she wants to watch things that she saw from TikTok, you know those clips and snippets.”

“Here comes the problem, since this is an individual account, I won’t be able to use it if she’s using it,” she continued, adding that her sister is starting to ignore house chores because she’s watching Netflix.

“I am left with all the house chores because of it,” she wrote. “I told her plenty of times to wash the dishes, fold the clothes, and clean the house, at least mop it. She did nothing of those things and I got so pissed I told her to do things and she started yelling and telling me things like I am not doing house chores (I do it, I always do).”

After her sister yelled, the woman changed her Netflix password.

“I pay for the subscription and ever since I connected Netflix to our TV I am not able to watch my favorite TV shows because she doesn’t watch those,” she concluded, asking Redditors, “AITA [am I the a——] for changing our Netflix password so my sister won’t be able to use it?”

The majority of Redditors sided with the woman and her decision.

“Obviously NTA [not the a——-],” one person commented. “You pay for it, it’s your individual account and you want to use it, and nothing else is relevant. She can get her own account.”

Another commenter gave a more holistic response, replying, ”It’s kind of her own fault she’s being blocked from it, to be honest. When you’re good to people there’s less of a chance of people blocking you from things.”
