Woman Is Kicked Out by Hairdresser After Complaining Home Salon Is Too Cold: ‘Customer Service Is Everything’

Kady Chrystelle shared on TikTok how she was turned away by a hairdresser after voicing that she felt cold in their home salon

A beauty enthusiast has claimed she was forced to leave a salon without finishing getting her hair done after complaining that she felt cold.

On March 3, Kady Chrystelle vented about her experience with a hairstylist based in London, England, in a now-viral TikTok video. She shared several clips of the tense exchange between them, beginning with the hairstylist claiming Chrystelle “complained about everything” since she arrived.

Chrystelle explained that she voiced feeling cold but was refused permission to keep her shoes on while getting her hair done in the living room of the hairstylist’s home.

“If you knew your radiators weren’t working, maybe just let your clients know that for the day ‘I don’t have heating, wrap up warm,’ ” Chrystelle said, reflecting on the situation.

She claimed the hairstylist accused her of having “too high” expectations for wanting to be informed before the appointment about issues with the heating.

Chrystelle said the hairstylist’s solution was for her to wear her coat throughout the appointment, having declared that her outfit didn’t look “sufficient” for cold weather anyway.

“I don’t know what I did to this babe that made her feel that her place wasn’t good enough,” Chrystelle said. “Because in the video that I ended up recording when it just got to the point of no return, she kept on going about ‘this place isn’t really good enough for you.’ ”

The TikToker shared a clip of the moment the hairstylist made the comment and her shocked reaction before she was asked to leave.

She then continued reflecting on the situation and gushed that she booked the hairstylist after being amazed by her skills.

“The hair she does eats,” Chrystelle said. “But, I am so grateful that she didn’t finish my hair, customer service is everything.

“You’re not the only one that can do hair in this life,” she continued. “I just voiced that it was too cold and all of a sudden that’s me saying this place is not good enough.”

In one of the clips, the hairstylist can be heard telling Chrystelle that she’s never turned a client away in her 14 years in the industry.

Chrystelle said she was forced to leave the salon with unfinished hair, as they were unable to resolve the dispute.

“Maybe if I was a Love Islander I would have been catered to lol,” she captioned the video.

The video garnered almost three million views within 24 hours and thousands of comments from people sharing their own experiences with hairstylists.

“So she knows the heating doesn’t work & there’s no space heater, no blankets, no hot water bottle, not offering hot drinks, no heads up message to tell girls to dress extra warm,” one person wrote alongside a face palm emoji.

Another said, “If her service is £150 [$190], I know she can afford a £20 [$25] blow heater mind you.”

A third chimed in, saying, “A good service provider that doesn’t allow outdoor shoes should at least provide fluffy socks or slippers.”

“Wow, someone should create an app of every single UK hairstylist, rate their customer service, so we know where not to go,” another added.

Chrystelle did later identify the hair salon. The salon did not respond when we reached out for comment on Chrystelle’s claims.
