Guy Fieri is gearing up for a brand-new competition series.

On Wednesday, May 14, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that an upcoming show with the working title Guy’s Flavortown Games is set to premiere in early 2026 on Food Network and HBO Max.

Fieri “brings his iconic Flavortown to life” in the forthcoming project, according to a press release the company shared with PEOPLE.

The concept will see two “fearless” chefs accept Fieri’s invitation “to the epic restaurant row at the heart of Flavortown Square.”

“Their goal: to prove they have the cooking cred to prepare a winning dish in any type of kitchen imaginable — from an awesome smashburger in the cramped food truck to a Michelin-worthy dinner in the state-of-the-art kitchen of a fine dining restaurant,” reads the release.

“The chef who makes the best dish in each round gets to choose their own culinary adventure by selecting the unique restaurant and cuisine they’ll have to tackle next,” the description continues. “In the town that Guy built, choosing the right restaurant can change your fortune.”

The release also notes that last month’s season 6 finale of Fieri’s culinary competition Tournament of Champions earned Food Network’s highest-rated telecast in two years.

The Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host recalled the origin of his “Flavortown” catchphrase during a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February.

“‘Flavortown’ was this mythical place that [I’d go] every time I’d try something really great,” he told Stephen Colbert, noting that he first used the phrase to comment on a huge pizza.. “[I] said, ‘Look at this thing! It’s like the steering wheel on the bus going to Flavortown.’ That’s all I said!”

“I said it a couple of other times about ‘a manhole cover in Flavortown,’ and then people started walking up in airports, going, ‘Hey! Flavortown!’ And then, someone yelled at me, ‘It’s the Mayor of Flavortown!’” he added.

His film crew explained to him, “You keep repeating this Flavortown thing.”

Flavortown is now more than a catchphrase — it’s also the name of his cookware and sauce lines and some of his restaurants.

Fieri, who’s dad to Hunter, 28, and Ryder, 19, added, “I became the mayor but somebody appointed my son as ‘The Prince of Flavortown.'”
